Childhood Under Assault – The Education Difference

Women and girls participating in World Vision organized Community change groups in Herat, Afghanistan. The change groups are part of a holistic approach to promoting education and ending child marriage. The groups are key driver of gender empowerment to amplify the voices of girls and women from the family level, all the way to the national level. The groups engage families, community and religious leaders and government to promote change. Most of the women attending the sessions were forced into early marriages and want to end the cycle of child marriage.
